Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using the RootCart platform. By using our services, you agree to these terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using RootCart ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. These terms apply to all visitors, buyers, sellers, and other users of the Platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use RootCart. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that all information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.
3. Seller Obligations
Sellers must provide accurate product descriptions, pricing, and stock information. Sellers are responsible for the quality and safety of their products and must comply with all applicable Bangladeshi food safety and agriculture regulations. Misrepresentation of products may result in immediate account suspension.
4. Buyer Obligations
Buyers agree to pay for orders placed and to provide accurate delivery information. Fraudulent orders, chargebacks without valid cause, or abuse of the returns system may result in account termination.
5. Payments & Fees
RootCart charges a platform commission on each completed sale. Commission rates are disclosed in the Seller Dashboard and are subject to change with 30 days notice. All prices displayed on the Platform include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
6. Order Cancellations & Refunds
Buyers may cancel orders within 2 hours of placement. Refunds for damaged or incorrectly delivered products must be claimed within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence. Refunds are processed within 3–5 business days to the original payment method.
7. Prohibited Activities
Users must not: sell counterfeit, unsafe, or prohibited goods; engage in price manipulation or fake reviews; attempt to circumvent the platform to conduct off-platform transactions; harass other users; or violate any applicable law. Violations may result in permanent bans and legal action.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on RootCart, including logos, product images uploaded by RootCart, and platform code, is the property of RootCart Technology or its licensors. Sellers retain ownership of their product photos and descriptions. By uploading content, you grant RootCart a licence to display it on the Platform.
9. Limitation of Liability
RootCart acts as a marketplace facilitator and is not liable for the actions of third-party sellers, product defects beyond our published quality guarantees, or losses arising from force majeure events. Our maximum liability for any claim is limited to the transaction value of the order in question.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
